An event for Mudgee’s car and bike enthusiasts

Mudgee’s car and bike enthusiasts won’t want to miss the upcoming Mudgee Motorfest to be held at the Mudgee Showgrounds on Saturday, November 1.

The Mudgee Motorfest is presented by Cudgegong Cruisers Inc. and is now in its 6th year.

The event sees all kinds of vintage, classic and very cool cars rocking around town, with people coming from far and wide to bring their machines to Mudgee and compete for awards in the Motorfest’s Show ‘n’ Shine.

Other highlights of this year’s event will include grass driving, engine building and dyno competitions, displays, kids activities, live entertainment and much more.

If you have a car you want to enter into the Show ‘n’ Shine you can pick up an entry form on the day. Camping will be available on-site.

If you want to find out more information about the 2014 Mudgee Motorfest then head to www.cudgegongcruisers.org.au.

Will you be heading to this year’s Motorfest?

Mudgee CAN ASSIST With Music

Can Assist is a network of people that help cancer patients and their families go through the trials and tribulations of living with cancer. The Mudgee branch of Can Assist is holding an event on the 14th of April that everyone’s invited to!

Mudgee’s Can Assist With Music is an afternoon event full of music, food, stalls, entertainment, and of course more music. View the flier below to see the line-up of musicians, including Ash Grunwald and other local performers.

Mudgee’s Can Assist With Music charity event is going to rock the Mudgee Showgrounds from 1pm on April 14th 2012, so make sure you’ve got your tickets, which are available now.

Adults – $40
Kids – $15
Family – $100 (includes 2 adults & 2 kids)

All proceeds go to helping out local people of Mudgee, who may even be your own family or friends, who need assistance with managing daily life living with cancer. Can Assist is an amazing charity organisation that relies on the dedication and support of local communities like ours. The network is available to anyone receiving cancer treatment and who may be finding it hard to manage (e.g. financially). It’s easy to make contact and get much needed assistance whether it’s fuel vouchers or doctors bills, so if you know someone going through cancer treatment who may be in need of assistance, put them in touch with Can Assist, and make sure you do your part by going to the Can Assist With Music event on the 14th of April.

Get tickets online or call Langswear on 6372 1219 or drop into their shop on Church Street.

We’re promised that it’ll be a wonderful afternoon of entertainment, but most importantly you’ll be helping make someone’s life a little easier.

Mudgee Christmas Carols In The Park 2011

If you haven’t marked it on your calendar yet, make sure you do because Mudgee’s Carols In The Park event is coming up on Sunday December 11th 2011, and it’s an event that the family will surely enjoy!

This is a fun event that is being held at the Mudgee Showgrounds thanks to the community work of the Rotary Club of Mudgee Sunrise and local church groups. We’re yet to meet a person that doesn’t like a good old Christmas carol so pack up a rug, chair, some snacks and drinks (sorry no alcohol) for the family, and get yourself and your family to this year’s Carols In The Park.

There will be food and drinks available on site from 4:00pm, and there’ll be plenty to keep everyone entertained. Santa will be arriving by helicopter at 5.30pm and everyone’s invited to join in the singing of carols from 7:00pm. The event concludes at 9.30pm.

Even though Mudgee’s Carols In The Park is a free family event, we do encourage the people of the Mudgee community to give their support by donating to the Rotary Club on the night. In return your family will receive a carols songbook and glow sticks for the kids.

We hope to see you there!
