Cruising for a Cause

Have you got a thing for your car? Do you like to cruise around just enjoying the open road? Do you want to help raise funds for cancer research? Do you enjoy the company of other car enthusiasts?

Coming up on the 10th of March 2012, Cudgegong Cruisers Inc. in conjunction with volunteers from the Mudgee & Districts Can Assist branch, are holding a cruising event called ‘Can Cruise’. The fundraising event is in its fourth year running, and is a great way to show off your mechanical pride and joy, meet some great new people, and see some amazing machines.

Commencing at the Mudgee Racecourse and travelling to Rylstone, Kandos and Lue before returning to Kandos, we’re told that it’s a sight to be seen (and heard)!

The best part about the event is that any registered vehicle can enter! Costs are listed below, and you can complete an entry form by clicking on the link at the end of this blog post. Entry fee includes lunch and entertainment, such as a “Show n Shine” in the morning, sack racing and tyre rolling competition during the lunch-break at Kandos, poker cards drawn throughout the day, and on the return to Mudgee Racecourse there’ll be a jumping castle for the kids and time to socialise with new and old friends. Trophies and prizes are also up for grabs!

So, fill out the entry form and be at the Mudgee Racecourse around 9:00am, or 8:00am if you’re having breakfast, bring the family and make a day of it!

Mudgee MotorFest 2011

If you’re a car enthusiast, have a love of all things motoring, then you’re in for a treat in a couple of weeks, because Cudgegong Cruisers Inc are coming to town for their third annual MotorFest.
You’ll see all kinds of vintage, classic and very cool cars rocking around town, with people coming from far and wide to bring their machines to Mudgee. If you’re anywhere near AREC (Australian Rural Education Centre) you’ll probably hear the rumble of mufflers for the three day event from October 14 to 16.
Let’s show all of our out-of-town visitors how great Mudgee is and show them the meaning of real hospitality. I can’t wait to see some of the cool vehicles that will be driving around the streets of Mudgee!
