If you missed out on the Gulgong or Rylstone Kandos shows then don’t despair because you can still catch the Mudgee Show this Friday and Saturday (March 2-3).
The iconic event puts our region on display. It promotes Mudgee’s fine produce as well as the talent of our local craftspeople, and the expertise of local animal husbandry.
This year’s jam-packed two-day spectacular will feature everyone’s show favourites including popular rides and sideshows, reptile displays, juggling, a lumberjack show, and a busy program of ring events and colourful pavilion displays.
The show will also feature the highly anticipated ‘Rooftop Express’ – a new family-friendly show combining showmanship, stunts, horses and cattle with the swagger of an Aussie larrikin.
Another show highlight will be the talents of the “Whip Cracking Kids” who will show crowds why they have won nationally in the sport of Australian whip cracking.
The Mudgee Show is one of the region’s gems and it is not to be missed if you want to experience some of the best the region has to offer. It has been running since 1846 and although there have been some changes over the years; it still remains a crowd favourite, with thousands of people heading along every year.
