It may be cold outside but you’ll still want to get off the couch and join in on all of the fun of the 2018 Mudgee Running Festival on Sunday, 19 August.
Whether you’re a serious marathon runner, or someone who simply enjoys a leisurely stroll amongst nature, the festival will have something for you.
The Mudgee Running Festival is an event that is well known for its laidback atmosphere, making it a great for first time runners. In fact, despite the name there’s no reason to run at all, with a 5km Fun Run/Walk course available for those who prefer a slower pace.
But there’s still something for the serious runners out there too with a half marathon and a marathon course, as well as a 10km race.
All courses take place in the scenic surrounds of Mudgee, with longer courses weaving through the picturesque Mudgee valley; past vineyards, wineries, farmland and grazing cattle.
Registrations are open now! All entrants in the half and full marathon (who register before 29th July) will receive a quality Mudgee Running Festival singlet. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal to celebrate their achievement.
There will be no registrations on the day, so head online to register by Thursday the 16th of August, or complete a last-minute registration on Saturday afternoon August 18th at Lawson Park between 2pm and 5pm.
The Mudgee Runners Festival makes for a great weekend in Mudgee. Once the race is over you can relax and enjoy the many charming cafes, restaurants and wineries that the region has to offer.
