What’s on Easter 2017 in Mudgee?

The Easter long weekend is only a few more days away and as always there will be plenty of egg-cellent things to see and do in the Mudgee region.

To help you plan your Easter long weekend, here’s some things you might want to head along to:

Mudgee Bike Muster – All weekend long

The Mudgee Bike Muster will be celebrating its 10th anniversary. During the day cyclists travel through vineyards and at night they camp out and enjoy open-air activities with fellow cyclists. It has become a popular way to spend the Easter long weekend in the region.

Visit www.bikemuster.com.au.

Mudgee Wineries and Restaurants – All weekend long

Call up your favourite local restaurant or winery to find out what they have on over the Easter weekend. While some restaurants will be closed, others will be offering up special Easter menus. Just remember to book ahead as most places will be busy over the weekend.

Mudgee Maker Markets – Easter Saturday

For a selection of the best locally produced products direct from the makers, head to this special Easter edition of the Mudgee Makers Market. There will be a wide range of products available including wine, food, art, jewellery and more.

The Makers Markets are held at the St Mary’s Catholic Church (cnr of Church and Market Streets) from 8:30am to 1pm.

Outdoor Cinema @ Gooree Park – Easter Saturday & Sunday

Set back and relax at Gooree Park Wines while they play movies on the big screen. The Sapphires will be playing on Easter Saturday and The Secret Life of Pets will be on Easter Sunday.

This is a NO BYO event, however Gooree Park will be providing wines and beer at the bar. Food options will be available too, however feel free to bring along your own food.

Mudgee Farm Walks – Easter Sunday

Mudgee Fine Foods will be talking their Farm Walks to Bonnie View Market Garden and Karrabool Olives on Easter Sunday. Visitors will get the chance to see behind the scenes of the production process and maybe even get their hands dirty too. Tours start from the car park at the Mudgee Visitor Information Centre at 9.00am.

Gulgong Easter Bunny Races – Easter Sunday

The Gulgong Bowling & Sporting Club will be holding their annual Easter Bunny Races. Gates will open from 11:30am. As well as the races there will be a jumping castle, face painting, children’s races, snack bar and a visit from the Easter Bunny so there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
