Looking to get fit, have fun and meet a whole heap of new people? Then join in on the Mudgee parkrun every Saturday morning in Lawson Park.
The Mudgee parkrun officially launched last Saturday and it was a complete hit with 229 people out jogging, walking, running and kicking their New Year’s fitness goals.
The parkrun will continue to take place every Saturday at 8am in Lawson Park (behind Big W) and everyone is invited to take part. You can bring your dogs on leads or kids and prams and take the course at your own pace.
The running track goes for 5km and it’s you against the clock! You can run week by week and try to improve your time or just head along for a good time and a catch-up with friends. Parkrun us whatever you want to make it.
It’s completely free to take part in the run; all you need to do is register before your first run. You only need to register with parkrun once and remember to bring along your printed barcode for everyone run so your time is recorded.
There is a post parkrun coffee at the Mudgee Brewery at the end of every run for people to cool down and catch up on their run stories.
The Mudgee parkrun is entirely organised by volunteers and you can help too by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s a fantastic community event to be part of and a great way to meet new people in Mudgee.
