Swimming season is about to kick off in Mudgee

The weather is starting to warm up in Mudgee and that means it’s time for the region’s swimming season to begin.

There are three Olympic sized heated swimming pools located across the region in Mudgee, Gulgong and Kandos and they will all be open from this Saturday 30 September.

The region’s pools will remain open 7 days a week until the last Sunday in April, excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day.

A visit to the pool is a great way to spend a day out in the local region. They offer opportunities for fun, fitness and recreation for residents and visitors of all ages.

“Learn to Swim” programs are run by certified trainers at the pools, which can be extremely beneficial for both adults and children as they help increase water awareness and increase lifesaving skills.

Swimming at the region’s pools also makes for a great way to cool down when the temperature gets too high.

Those hoping to visit the pool over the next week can rest assured that all of the region’s pools are fully supervised by qualified staff, with lifeguards on duty during the school holidays.

The pools will be open for the following hours:

30th September 2017 to 31st October
Mudgee: 6.00am to 6.00pm
Gulgong & Kandos: 6.00am to 8.00am reopen at 9.30am to 6.00pm

Pool hours are slightly longer in the summer months.

Further details about the region’s pools hours, as well as fees, charges and hiring costs, can be found at the Mid-Western Regional Council website.
