It’s time to get off the couch and start training for the 2017 Mudgee Running Festival taking place on Sunday 20th August.
The popular event is now part of the NSW Regional Running Championships, a series of 5 Half Marathons incorporating races in Orange, Bathurst, Mudgee, Dubbo and Carcoar.
Being part of a prestigious championship event means that there will be some big prize money up for grabs for runners and a considerable boost in this year’s numbers too.
But don’t worry if you’re not interested in competing to win, because the Mudgee Running Festival is for people of all ages and fitness levels.
There are 5.4km and 10km fun run/walk events for those wanting a shorter or more relaxed run/walk and 21.1km half marathon and full 42.2km marathon events for all the serious runners out there.
Whichever event you choose to enter, you’ll be taken on a scenic course through the picturesque Mudgee region with lots of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers cheering you on.
The Mudgee Running Festival is a fun family event with a festival-like atmosphere. There will be a jumping castle for the kids, food/drinks, merchandise tents and a coffee van onsite.
Registrations can be made online at mudgeerunningfestival.com.au.
Online registrations close 6pm Thursday 17th August. Entries can then only be made 3pm – 5pm Saturday 19th August, at race headquarters, Lawson Park Mudgee.
