Santa Claus is visiting Mudgee a little earlier this year to celebrate festive-themed activities around town.
Mid-Western Regional Council is hosting a Christmas in July concert for the region’s senior citizens at the Club Mudgee Auditorium from 10am this Wednesday 19 July. This year’s concert will feature entertainer Nigel Stanley who will be performing a variety of songs for the crowd to enjoy. A morning tea will also be provided.
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased from Club Mudgee (6372 1922), the Carmel Croan Community Centre (6378 2720) or Jan Robson of the Gulgong Pensioner Association in Gulgong (6374 1944).
Kelly’s Irish Pub will be hosting a Christmas dinner on Friday 28 July, complete with all the usual yuletide trimmings.
Guests will enjoy a 4-course dinner and a warming glass of homemade mulled wine on arrival. Plus there will be entertainment including Karaoke & the King special Xmas edition from 7:30pm.
The festivities will kick off from 5:30pm. Tickets cost $50 per person, bookings are essential, call 02 6372 1842.
Another major festive event in Mudgee will be the Children’s Medical Research Institute Christmas in July Fundraiser at the AREC on Saturday 29 July. There will be dinner, entertainment and live auctions to help raise funds to help the CMRI fast track their goal of finding cures for childhood diseases.
Tickets to the event have already sold out but you can join in on the festivities at the after party at the Woolpack Hotel.
With so many local festive activities there’s no need to travel to the Northern Hemisphere for a winter’s Christmas. Mudgee residents can celebrate a heart-warming Christmas in the traditional way without having to leave the region.
