Mudgee High School has played a major role in the lives of many Mudgee families and still continues to do so today, 100 years after it was first built in 1916.
A centenary milestone deserves to be celebrated and the school has two days of events planned from Friday, October 14 to Saturday, October 15.
On the Friday the school will be holding a number of activities for current students and parents, and on the Saturday the rest of the community is invited to join in on the celebrations too.
From 10am to 2pm on Saturday all will be welcome to celebrate 100 years of public education and meet the students and staff who have attended Mudgee High School over the year and reminisce about old times.
There will be a range of things to see and do, including tours, interviews, memorabilia on display, cadets parading and a BBQ lunch.
On Saturday night there will be a special cocktail dinner Robert Oatley Vineyards from 7pm.
All are welcome to the dinner, however it is an 18+ event. Tickets are $60 per person and include a cocktail style menu (catering by Rachael McCarthy) and return transport via Ogden’s Coaches.
Tickets can be purchased from trybooking.com. Simply search for Mudgee High School Centenary 2016.
The high school is also putting together a keepsake Centenary Magazine that can be purchased when buying tickets for the dinner or directly from the Mudgee High School for $25.00.
