If you’re looking to buy water or energy saving products for your home then now is the time to take advantage of Mid-Western Council’s Household Sustainability Subsidy.
The Council has partnered with Petrie’s Mitre 10 in Mudgee to offer the subsidy, which aims to encourage and promote sustainable living in the region.
General Manager, Brad Cam says the Household Sustainability Subsidy aims to educate residents on how they can use alternative products to reduce energy and water consumption.
“This initiative by Council provides an opportunity for residents to save money on water and energy saving products for their home and look after our environment”, Mr Cam said.
Households who take advantage of the subsidy can get a $20 discount off a single participating item up to $200. If the purchase exceeds $200, households will receive a 10% discount of up to $100 on a single eligible item.
Eligible items include tap timers, garden mulch, soil wetters, worm farms, LED or energy saving light bulbs and shower heads, whirlybird roof ventilators, window and door seals and insulation products.
One subsidy is available per household on a first in, first served basis.
The subsidy is only available until sold out so if you want to take advantage of it then make sure you get down to Petrie’s Mitre 10 in Mudgee quick!
