We’re sure that most people in Mudgee will have heard of the Dry July challenge, where people volunteer to remain sober for a month to help raise money for adults living with cancer.
Every year we seem to notice more people join the Dry July bandwagon, and it’s great to see that so many people in the Mudgee community are choosing to take part, because not only is Dry July for a good cause but it also gives people a chance to focus on themselves and their drinking habits.
If you haven’t signed up to Dry July yet then you still can. The thought of going 100% booze free for a month may not sound like much fun to some, but think about all of the positives of saying no to alcohol for a month (or even longer!).
You will be saving money that you can spend on other activities; you will be improving your health and wellbeing, and best of all you can say goodbye to hangovers!
And of course, the other major benefit of giving up alcohol for Dry July is that you will be helping to raise money for people who really need it, with the proceeds of Dry July going to hospitals around Australia.
If you think you’re up for the Dry July challenge, then head to au.dryjuly.com and start making a difference to your life and to someone else’s.
Have you signed up to Dry July this year? If so, then feel free to leave your Dry July link in the comments to help encourage people to donate to the cause.
