The Red Cross Blood Service mobile blood van will be arriving in Inglis Street on Monday, and our Professionals Mudgee Real Estate team want to join the Australian Red Cross Blood Service in encouraging every Mudgee resident who is well to come on down to donate blood.
When you consider one in three Australians will need blood in their lifetime yet only one in thirty will donate, the statistics are quite damning. We’d love to see Mudgee swing those numbers around by rolling up our sleeves. It only takes an hour out of your day, and every donation saves three lives by helping to treat a range of illnesses and conditions including cancer and blood diseases, anaemia, and surgical patients in addition to trauma patients.
Of course if you’ve been hit with a cold or flu you won’t be able to donate, but we’re sure many Mudgee residents are in full health and ready and raring to put their hand up. Whether you’re one of the many people who has been thinking about giving blood but never actually gone through with it, or this is the first time you’ve considered it, now’s your time to shine.
The Mudgee Mobile Blood Service will be parked in the Inglis Street railway station car park from Monday the 22nd of July 22 to Thursday the 25th of July, and Monday the 29th of July to Tuesday the 30th of July. To make an appointment to donate, please contact the Australian Red Cross Blood Service on 13 14 95.
Will you be rolling up your sleeve this July?
