The Mudgee International Short Film Festival – Mudfest – is almost here, and our Professionals Mudgee Real Estate can’t wait to see this year’s entrants. Mudfest has become a highlight on the Mudgee calendar, and this year we have Saturday the 16th of March firmly bolded and circled!
If the weather is kind to us Mudfest will be held on the lawns of the Bunnamagoo Estate Wines Cellar Door; however, the Australian Rural Education Centre is ready to open its doors to the festival if the rain hits.
Gates will open at 5pm, giving Mudgee residents a chance to grab some food and set up their picnic while enjoying some fantastic live music. But this is just the teaser… at 8pm screenings will begin, and if past years are anything to go by we’re sure you’re going to be in for a treat!
Tickets to this year’s event are $30 (including a complimentary wine on arrival for those over 18), and anybody under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (as some films are rated MA15+). It’s important to get in nice and early just in case the outdoor event is a wash-out and we’re reduced to limited space indoors. You really don’t want to miss this!
The films are expected to finish at around 10pm, which is when you’ll be called upon to deliver your verdict on the best film of the night. This is not to be taken lightly… there are cash prizes up for grabs as well as the glory of being crowned a Mudfest winner.
For more information about Mudfest please head to http://www.mudfest.com.au/. Our team would like to encourage all Mudgee residents to get involved in the event, to celebrate the talented film makers in Australia and overseas, and to enjoy a really fun night out in Mudgee, so please share our page and spread the word.
