The farmers’ market at the St Marys Church grounds is hosting a fantastic day of kid’s activities on Saturday the 20th of October. Whether you have a budding horticulturist on your hands, or just a child who just loves getting their hands (and clothes) dirty, your little one will love getting involved and learning more about healthy eating and sustainable living.
The Mudgee Farmers’ Market will give children of all ages the chance to roll up their sleeves and plant their very own take-home vegetable garden. Cherry tomatoes, radishes, nasturtiums, cucumbers and herbs will all be on the menu, and every child who gets involved will be able to take home their very own box, with watering and care instructions included.
The workshop starts at 10.30am, and tickets are on sale for $15/child or $25 for 2 children. A free recycled flower making workshop will also be held on the front lawn, and prizes will be drawn throughout the morning for kids’ cooking classes and farm walks. For more information visit the Mudgee Fine Foods website, or you can register now by contacting Liz on 6372 6594 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
