We already know that Mudgee is home to some of the best wines in the country, so it will be great to have the opportunity to taste and celebrate our local wines when the Mudgee Wine and Food Festival takes place next month.
During the month of September the Mudgee community comes alive to celebrate our local wine and food producers, our amazing restaurants and everything else we love about Mudgee too, and for this reason many consider September to be one of the best times of the year to visit our region.
The Mudgee Wine and Food Festival takes place from September 7 to 24 and there are plenty of fantastic events to head to during this time. One of the festival’s most popular events would have to be ‘Go Grazing’ where visitors get to experience an evening of 20 exquisite local wines matched with a ‘grazing’ of canapés created from regional ingredients. Go Grazing will take place on Saturday September 15 at the Mudgee Showground Pavilion.
Another festival highlight this year will be the new ‘Flavours of Mudgee’, which will brighten up the Mudgee CBD with a night market featuring Mudgee chefs, live music, children’s entertainment and a fun street party atmosphere. This event will take place on Saturday September 22 from 4pm and you can keep up-to-date with who will be at the Flavours of Mudgee by following their Facebook page.
There will be plenty more events taking place as part of this year’s Mudgee Wine and Food Festival and they’re all sure to great, so if you don’t want to miss out on all of the happenings of this year’s festival then head to www.mudgeewine.com.au for the festival program and all further information.
