There are plenty of things happening in Mudgee this month while the Mudgee Wine and Food Festival is on, and something that should not to be missed out on is the ‘Our Culinary Past – a glimpse of how it was!’ display at High Valley Wine & Cheese Co.
The display will showcase kitchen memorabilia and take visitors on a ‘trip down memory lane’ of Australia’s food history. The display has been inspired by a recently published book called “Bold Palates” Australia’s Gastronomic Heritage by Barbara Sandich.
Barabra is an internationally acknowledged authority on food history and her book is well worth a read, and a few of our readers may know of her sister Lyn Mearing who is a Mudgee local!
For those who do head along to see the Our Culinary Past display at High Valley Wine & Cheese Co, don’t forget to also take the opportunity to sample their delicious award-winning cheeses and wines, and you may also want to visit their recently opened Frenchfork Café.
The ‘Our Culinary Past – a glimpse of how it was!’ display will be showing until October 8 and you can find High Valley Wine & Cheese Co at 137 Ulan Road in Mudgee.
