We were delighted to hear that there’s another event to add to our increasingly busy calendar for 2011 – it’s the first “Region on the River 100 Mile Picnic” which according the Mudgee Guardian, brings in food and wine produced within a 100 mile radius (160km for the rest of us) of Mudgee.
To be held at Lawson Park on the banks of the Cudgegong River on Saturday March 26th (only just over a week away, the same day as Mudgee MudFest), and showcasing wineries, produce and chefs from across the region, we certainly look forward to this kind of picnic!
If you have a read of the article linked above, you’ll see a very impressive list of local goodies, from local places like Gooree Park, Mudgee, Orange and more. We hope that the attendance reaches thousands of people from within the Mudgee region and beyond! There’ll be plenty of things to entertain people of all ages, so make a day of it before heading down to Mudgee MudFest (if you have your ticket).
Entry to Region on the River is free, and runs from 12 noon to 7pm. We hope to see you there!
