Spring has finally sprung, and what better way to brighten up your home than to spend a weekend or two (if you’re not out enjoying the festivities in Mudgee already), sprucing up the home and yard in readiness for the warmer weather.
You don’t have to spend a fortune getting things looking brand new, but maybe spending some time and putting in a bit of elbow grease can give your home and garden a new lease on life. Here are some DIY projects to consider:
Walls – giving the walls inside and out a good going over can make your home look brighter than ever.
Garden – without going overboard, pruning and weeding, mowing the lawn and laying some fresh soil or manure can give your garden that landscaped look and feel that makes you want to spend time out in the yard.
Entertaining – BBQ’s are one of Australian’s favourite pastimes and are bred into us from a very young age. Tidy up the outdoor entertaining area, give the Barbie a clean, and pull out the esky!
Fences – if you already have a fence, make sure it’s in good working order. If it’s looking a little tired, try a coat of paint and a new gate latch or handle .
Sale Time – is it time to get rid of those old toys, clothes, appliances etc that have been taking up valuable space? Spring is a great time for garage sales.
