September is a great time of year – even if the weather is still mild, it marks the end of winter and the promise of summer soon to come. Spring is definitely in the air!
Looking at some of the gardens throughout Mudgee while we drive along the residential streets, we see flowers starting to blossom and trees starting to come back to their full green foliage. So with that in mind, we thought we’d chat today about how you can liven up your own garden for Spring!
The easy things:
– Mow the lawns
– Edge the lawns
– Pull out weeds
The Spring things:
– Fertilise and water (IF it hasn’t rained like it has so far this spring!)
– Plant new plants
– Re-pot old plants (should be done every 2-3 years or when plants outgrow their current pot)
Check the care instructions of the plants that you have either by checking with your preferred nursery or by Googling the name of the plant. This will help you know when to fertilise and prune that particular type of plant.
Spring is in the air, so why not get out and enjoy some time in your garden, and then sit back and relax while you enjoy the satisfaction you’ll feel after making your garden bright and beautiful this spring! Mudgee will be more beautiful than ever!
